Reflecting on an incredible summer finale, looking ahead to our "Ring Dem Bells" winter season, and inviting experienced Bay Area singers to join our ensemble.
What an incredible afternoon! On Sunday, August 16, AfterGlow Chorus closed out "The Gift of Love" season at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oakland. We are still floating from the warmth, energy, and enthusiastic standing ovations in that room.
We created this program as a heartfelt tribute to caregivers, healthcare workers, and anyone carrying a heavy load. To everyone who joined us, brought a loved one, or sent supportive words—thank you for making this finale so deeply moving.
Now, as we look ahead to autumn, we are thrilled to begin preparing for our upcoming holiday program: "Ring Dem Bells"—a festive, soul-stirring concert series coming this December!

Season: Fall/Winter 2026 — "Ring Dem Bells"
Who We're Looking For: Experienced, high-caliber choral and a cappella singers (All Voice Parts)
Audition Dates: Actively scheduling now on a rolling basis
Rehearsals: Start late October 2026 (Sheet music distributed late September)
Concert Dates: Sunday, December 6 & Saturday, December 12, 2026
Membership Dues: $0 (Dues-free)

We are actively scheduling auditions across all voice parts for singers with strong background experience in top college choirs, collegiate a cappella groups—or ideally, both. If you miss the musical rigor, blend, and camaraderie of elite collegiate singing, AfterGlow provides that same high level of artistry right here in the Bay Area.
What You Can Expect As an AfterGlow Singer:
Challenging, Soul-Stirring Repertoire: A rich, dynamic mix spanning classical masterworks, gospel, spirituals, soul, and jazz—music that is both technically rewarding and deeply moving.
Fast-Paced, Efficient Rehearsals: Sheet music is provided a full month in advance so we can skip note-learning and dive straight into artistic phrasing, nuance, and blend on day one.
Audition-Based & Dues-Free: Membership is earned solely through audition. We charge zero tuition or participation fees—our roster is built entirely on musical excellence and vocal blend.
An Accomplished Singer Community: Surround yourself with impressive vocal talent—ranging from advanced music degree holders to experienced choral alums—who bring incredible skill and deep heart without a shred of ego.
