AfterGlow Chorus: Spring 2027 Rehearsal & Concert Schedule

​​​​Our Spring 2027 concert program is powerful program called "Force of Nature" with a special tribute to Earth, Wind, & Fire in honor of Maurice White's passing just over 10 years ago.​

​

As we always do, we will be singing uplifting and powerful music from many different genres (e.g., classical, jazz, R&B, Gospel, pop, etc.).

​

Unlike most other choirs, AfterGlow rehearses in intensive, 4-week periods right before each concert. Prior to the first rehearsal, singers learn, study, and practice their parts on their own.

​

​Regular rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and concerts are held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Oakland, located in the beautiful Lake Merritt neighborhood (across Grand Ave from Lake Merritt, one block from Whole Foods). The venue is highly accessible via Bay Area mass transit (Lake Merritt BART and AC Transit), and free parking is readily available.

Here is the accelerated rehearsal schedule. All regular rehearsals (unless noted otherwise) are from 7 pm - 9:30 pm. In order to create a cohesive choral sound in a very short period of time, all rehearsal & concert dates are mandatory:

• Rehearsal #2: Wednesday 3/17

• NO REHEARSALS MONDAY 3/22 & WEDNESDAY 3/24

• Rehearsal #3: Monday 3/29

• Rehearsal #4: Wednesday 3/31

• Rehearsal #5: Monday 4/5

• Rehearsal #6: Wednesday 4/7

• Rehearsal #7: Monday 4/12

• Rehearsal #8: Wednesday 4/14

• DRESS REHEARSAL: Saturday 4/17 from 1 pm - 4pm 

• CONCERT #1: Sunday 4/18 (Call Time 1:30 pm for 4 pm concert)

• CONCERT #2: Sunday 4/25 (Call Time 1:30 pm for 4 pm concert)
