What a way to light up the night. As the final notes of our holiday series, "A Not So Silent Night," faded into the rafters this past week, our hearts were full. To everyone who joined our choir in Oakland and across the East Bay: thank you. Your energy and your presence turned our performances into a true community celebration. While we celebrate our recent success, the "glow" never stays static. AfterGlow Chorus is currently scheduling choir auditions for our Spring '26 concert program, "Purple Reign." This exuberant program is our musical tribute to mark the 10th anniversary of Prince's passing in 2016.
This bold, celebratory tribute—centered on the music of Prince, with fantastic music from many different musical genres—promises to be our most exciting production yet. As always, our broad repertoire will span classical masterpieces, spirituals, R&B, gospel, and jazz. Whether our choir is performing soaring a cappella arrangements and soulful works, "Purple Reign" will be a highlight of the Bay Area's spring arts calendar.
